A Space Where You Make Sense
For many Autistic and ADHD individuals (and those with the AuDHD mix), traditional therapy can sometimes feel invalidating. Typical approaches often focus on "correcting" behaviours or changing thought patterns that are actually natural responses to a neurotypical world.
My practice is different.
I view neurodivergence not as a disorder to be cured, but as a natural variation in human cognition. Our work together isn't about making you fit into a box; it's about finding out who you are when you take the mask off.
What We Might Explore
Therapy is a collaborative process. While every journey is different, we often find ourselves navigating:
- Unmasking: Safely exploring who you are beneath the layers of social camouflaging.
- Sensory Needs: Understanding your unique sensory profile and how to advocate for your comfort.
- Burnout Recovery: addressing the deep exhaustion that comes from navigating a world not built for you.
- Late Diagnosis Processing: Making sense of a new diagnosis in adulthood and reframing your life history with compassion.
- Executive Function: Finding strategies that work with your brain, not against it.
A Sensory-Safe Environment
Even in online therapy, sensory safety matters. I invite you to stim, turn off your camera if you need to, pace around the room, or communicate via chat if speaking feels too hard.
There is no "right way" to be in therapy here.
